Introducing dbdeux Demos

Starting this month, the dbdeux team publishes a page here every week with short recordings of what we built. Some clips show features that shipped that week. Some show things that are half done. A few will be experiments that never make it into the product.

Why we are doing this​

We run an internal demo meeting every Friday where engineers show each other what they worked on. Those recordings are the most honest picture of where dbdeux is heading, so we are publishing them instead of keeping them to ourselves. The changelog stays the place for what is officially released. This is the place for how it looks while it is being built.

What a weekly page looks like​

Each week gets one page. On it you will find two to five clips, each 60 to 180 seconds long, with:

  • the feature name and the product area it belongs to
  • who recorded it
  • a few sentences on what it does and why it matters
  • a link to the docs page once one exists

Clips are tagged by product area (CI and State, Semantic Layer, Atlas AI, and so on), so you can browse a single area from the tags page, and the archive lists every week by year.

Follow along​

Subscribe with RSS or Atom to get a notification when a new week is posted. Pipe the feed into a Slack channel and you have a weekly product update with zero effort.

A note on what you are seeing​

Nothing on these pages is a commitment to deliver a capability by a specific date. For what is available today, use the documentation and the changelog. :::
